While it serves the useful function of providing the reader an introduction to many decks before deciding on a purchase, it also allows for a greater depth of reading. Every deck has its own nuance and focus, allowing for a range of interpretations that takes the source deck and its unique approach into account. For example, the basic meanings of the Wheel of Fortune are similar in each deck’s companion text, yet each depiction differs, and each evokes different intuitive responses and offers different interactions with other cards. A worthwhile app for any reader.
