Countdown Star 4+

Amazing

I got this app looking for a way to countdown the days until a game comes out. It does that and so much more. I went around putting in everyone’s birthdays and telling them how many seconds old they are, and how many seconds until their next one! For some reason that’s super interesting to me and I show everyone (to the point where they get annoyed because I’m showing them too much). The only downsides I’ve found is that the wallpapers you add are “zoomed in” to fit on your phones display. You cannot add a widescreen picture and just have black boxes on the top and bottom. And the other “problem” is that the app starts acting a bit weird if you add too many events in one sitting (but it fixes itself pretty quickly). There is also nowhere to provide feedback in the app, so I have to write a review to suggest a feature. I think it would be cool to swipe up or down while in an event to quickly switch events, instead of opening the menu and then clicking the next one. And adding a widescreen mode when you tilt your phone sideways would be nice too. Great app! It’s good enough to make me want to buy the no adds version, even though the adds are barely noticeable which is this apps best quality!!

Wallpaper option is broken

It's not a bug. It's just horribly designed. I use this app to countdown for upcoming video-game related things, and opening this app and seeing how much time is left gets me hyped. It would get me even more hyped with a wallpaper... that is if the option wasn't broken. I have to crop the picture into a square shape, and when I apply it the image is all zoomed in or something. I know, this review I'm writing sounds unprofessional. But I would appreciate it if this wallpaper issue was fixed. Other than that, everything is actually really useful. It's fun seeing what "2 weeks 1 day 11 hours 3 minutes 50 seconds" equates to in just seconds.

Overall, if you don't care for wallpaper, then it's a perfect app to use.

A recent update (2.6.2) should correct the issue when you add a photo to the app. You'll no longer be asked to crop or zoom.

It’s great, minor issues

Overall, I really enjoy this app. But could you please add an annual/not annual button? This might sound crazy, but I put all my Beanie Boo’s birthdays in this app because I am a Beanie Boo addict! If I want my Beanie Boo’s birthday to be exactly next year, I have to add another event for the next year. It becomes really annoying because I have close to 60 Beanie Boo’s and I don’t want to create another whole event for just that one. You can add an annual button and if you click it, you and say every day, week, month, and year. If it is not annual you simply just press the not annual button. That would be very handy to me! I really don’t want to set up 60 events for every year because that takes up time, and time is important. Please add this handy addition because I think it would benefit me and all who downloaded Countdown Star. Sorry if my review didn’t make much sense and if you thought my addition was redundant. Personally, for a ten year old, I can come up with great ideas and solutions. I am very mature and intelligent, not to brag, but it’s true. So please add the annual/ not annual button to the app!
