Description

If you’re a vinyl junkie, you want your music to sound exactly as the artist intended - and that means 33⅓ RPM, not 35. Previously, checking your turntable for accuracy was difficult and inexact. But no longer. Measuring your turntable’s speed is now as simple as setting your phone down. Just start Turntabulator, place it on your platter, and start spinning. In as little as a few seconds, Turntabulator will adapt its output to your turntable, revealing its analysis in a stabilized rotating display that has to be seen to be believed. No twisting your neck - just read and be delighted.

Through the power of Musical Analysis with Gyroscopically Indifferent Calculations (MAGIC), no gyroscope is required, so Turntabulator works just fine on older devices. In fact, the results are more accurate than the gyroscope would provide.

Turntabulator offers two measurement modes. Quick Mode will give you results within 0.1 RPM very quickly, typically in 15 seconds or less. Or, if you’re a perfectionist, use Exact Mode for more precise results, typically reaching 0.01 RPM error or less within one or two minutes.

Turntabulator will auto-sense 33⅓ or 45 RPM, or can be fixed at either setting. It then displays the percentage error compared to the target RPM, and whether your turntable is running slow or fast.

That’s it! Start using Turntabulator, and make sure your vinyl sounds as perfect as possible.

Great app but will die soon. :-(

This is a great app, but it is a 32-bit app and will stop working altogether when iOS 11 is released.

Beware that if you purchase it today it may only work for another few months if you upgrade unless the developer updates it.

Worked great!

I shelved my old Sony PS-LX150H because it started spinning too fast a few years back. I listen to music all the time and I could tell the pitch was too high. Anyway, I bought a more modern Audio Technica and forgot about the Sony.

I dug the Sony out when I became aware there were speed adjustment screws on the underside. I threw on a song I knew well, Julian Lennon's "Too Late for Goodbyes" and I got it as close as I could.

I listened to quite a few albums and could tell it was slightly off but I didn't want to mess with it anymore.

Then I found this awesome app. Loaded it up, opened it, and placed my phone on the turntable with the top touching the spindle and within 5 seconds it reported I was 1.5% slow. GREAT! -at least now I know Slightly turned the screw and recalibrated. 2% fast and I barely turned it. Third time was the charm and PERFECT, 33 1/3!!!

Everything is right with the my listening world now! There was no way I could have done it without this app. Great $2 investment!!!

One of the most useful and practical apps I own!

It worked!

Had not been using my turntable because the speed was off. Key of G was somewhere between G and G#. After finding speed adjustment on turntable the problem was not knowing when adjustment gave correct speed. Purchased this app and simply put smart phone down on turntable watched the speed readout in realtime. Pretty cool that the speed reading changed angular position on the phone display so that you could read it as it was spinning. Slowed the turntable down to 33.4 and now I could play along with the record without having to retune all the strings.
