Buzzsprout 4+

The Buzzsprout app is a quick reminder of what’s going on. It’s a nice quick way to see if anyone is listening today. I’m always trying to figure out why listeners pile on one episode, and ignore others. I publish on Sundays. I like to peek at the app before bed, and throughout the week to see if there are patterns that forms. I don’t know that I would change my day of publishing. Even if Wednesdays became heavy traffic days I wouldn’t change. Sundays are my lucky day and I like to think that I’m passing some of that luck along to our listeners. So I’m a little superstitious. The little Buzzsprout app icon on my screen is like a lucky coin in my pocket, or my uncle Ernest’s rabbit’s foot on his car key chain. Sometimes I just touch it for luck. If a nice number appears on my screen, I feel the luck. Someone’s listening, all is well.

I love this app! I love being able to review stats, look over my podcast episodes, and get notifications when a listener texts me a message from an episode they are listening to. All at my fingertips. I’ve been a bus sprout customer for several years and absolutely have no complaints. If you’re not a Buzzsprout subscriber, you need to be. This company’s support is phenomenal! On average a response within 20 minutes. They are cutting edge with their technology. Their use of AI on their platform is phenomenal. Their audio algorithms to clean up and make your podcast sound industry standard is top-notch. Highly recommend this company. Give them a try today!

I can’t really see the point of this app. There’s nothing here that I can’t do more easily via their website even on my phone or tablet. Also items that are more worthless like getting an eCertificate that their robo-server is proud of me for releasing X number of episodes is upfront where it’s not helpful. Why do I care that Buzz’s server is proud of me for releasing episodes? Or getting notifications throughout the day of such?

What we really need, and I have asked for this before, is better reporting on what any given day does. If I could open a day’s window and see where I was listened to on that given day, that would really help me plan my episode attack for my podcast as well as plan any marketing I want to do.

Anyway, the app is okay but I don’t see me using it all that much nor having it take up space on my iPad.
