May Diary - Gratitude Journal 4+

I've never written a review before, but I felt I had to for this app. I got maydiary just to test out, thinking I was gonna delete it after a few weeks. About a year later, I'm STILL using it to capture vacations, nights out, and even the simple things like family movie trips. There are so many great features-I especially like how you can search up a key word and it'll show all of your entries with that word or words in it. If you're looking for an easy to use but visually pleasing app for memories, do yourself a favor and get this!! :)

January 2018: I had been using this app since 2014 and it used to be my favorite diary app until recently. Now I cannot login or even create a new account! Thankfully, I had backed up my entries from 2014 to the end of 2016 to my Dropbox account. I’m so glad I did especially since during that time I had entries from the days right before my father passed away and reading back over them I was able to remember and relive some precious memories. I’m very disappointed in the lack of Customer Service.

Previous review in 2017: I like using this app and had even upgraded to the VIP version so I could export my entries as PDF files. However, I wish they would give the option to be able to add multiple "tags" and my entries. I've inquired about this feature in my past but so far they've haven't changed it in any of the app updates. Besides that, the app is great.

Diary was great until I could no longer access it and was forced I to enter my email and create an account to access my entries. Curious about the sudden need to do this (knowing not all apps are safe and that some can access your personal info and/or info you put into the app), I tried repeatedly to contact customer support to view their privacy practices to find out what they do with user's personal info but I've never heard back.
It worries me because when I contacted them about accessing my diary they were quick to respond and tell me to enter my email address and create and account, however, when I tried to reach them regarding privacy practices, suddenly customer support had disappeared off the face of the earth. It just seems shady to me...beware users.
