Description

The Depression Test is a powerful tool to evaluate depression and monitor treatment response. The test questions are based on Patient Healthcare Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), the most widely used and trusted questionnaire among mental health professionals. The test can be self-administered.

With Depression Test, you can:

- take the PHQ-9 test to screen for depression
- check the severity of your depression
- store the test results and monitor improvements over time
- keep a journal to track your mood
- educate yourself with short, informative articles on Depression
- feel better by using self-guided Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify and reframe your negative thoughts
- gain access to high quality depression resources

The CBT exercises include A-B-C, Socratic Questions, Challenge Core Beliefs, and De-catastrophizing. The exercises will help you identify and challenge your cognitive distortions that lead to negative thoughts.

Depression can be effectively treated. Don't wait until things get worse. Find out if you're depressed and then take action.

I've used this to track my mental wellbeing for five years

DTest is a simple, easy-to-use app. It uses the standard 9-question test that you would get at a doctor's office. There is a history chart, where you can scroll back and see your answers from past tests, and the ability for notes to be written - though I don't usually use this feature much.

It's not a needy app - it simply keeps track of your mental health, and provides resources if you wish to seek help (though I don't recommend using BetterHelp, for the various controversies with it). You can also set it up to send reminders, if you wish to have a routine with it - but it's not necessary.

The developers are also responsive, and receptive to suggestions. I've never had the app itself break. There is no paid version, or free trial, or any prompt at all to give money for your mental health - to the point where honestly, I've used this for so long, I wouldn't *mind* a tip jar option. Maybe you could do something cosmetic as a perk, like change the app's colors, or the icon itself?

In a world where every app seems to want to do everything for you, to the point where it becomes overwhelming, DTest is a refreshingly simple and clean app. I've used it for five years to track my mental health through highs and lows, and as long as it plans to remain an awesome, easy-to-use app, I can easily picture myself using it for another five.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You NEED to get this app. I got help from my school counselor after this and I felt so much better. It said I had severe depression and it was completely right. Please if you struggle with even mild depression or suicidal thoughts do not hesitate to get help wether it’s your counselor, a therapist, a teacher, a friend, a parent, or any other trusted adult. Do not keep that type of stuff to yourself, it will only make it worse. I am just trying to help you❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤍🤎💔❤️‍🔥❤️‍🩹❣️💕💞💓💗💖💘💝💟! Do NOT hesitate. Suicide is a serious problem in the world people die from it every day. Again I say do not hesitate to get help.

Similar to what hospitals do, but...

So I’m under the age of 18, I’m actually diagnosed with depression and anxiety. I have to take medications and see a therapist and psychiatrist. They tend to give you a form to fill out with similar questions to these so they can keep data of your feeling and emotions. The only difference is, this test is much shorter therefore may be less accurate. Is it a nice way to reflect and track the days you’ve felt depressed? Yes! Will it tell you if you actually have depression and you should probably seek greater help? No! If you scored 20-27 i recommend getting immediate help!!
