Description

Share lists, get push notifications... No accounts, no sign up. Simple and easy.

You may well ask "Why yet another list app?" Simply because we don't like the way the others work. They all tend to over complicate things and the list starts managing you rather than just being a simple, useful tool. Also, if you want to share a list with someone else they need you to sign up, create an account with a service and only then can you share a list with someone else. We don't like that so we devised a way that did not require any sign-up or creation of accounts. Bottom line, we've kept it really simple.

Share a list with someone else by simply sharing a file. They open the file and the list is shared! It's that simple, it's magic! When they make a change you receive a push notification of the change and your list is updated. Lists for your own devices are synchronized via iCloud.

There is a powerful search that allows you to pinpoint lists or items with keywords and the app uses tags to organize and manage multiple lists.

There is also a "special list" that groups all items checked as a 'high priority' into one global list at the top of the lists home page so you have easy access to the items that you need urgently done.

One of my favorite uses for the app is as a family shopping list. My wife and I share a shopping list. Whenever something is required one of us captures it on the list. Whoever visits the shops knows what needs to be purchased and the other knows when something has been purchased. Works super well.

We also use the app within our teams and with clients who simply add any item to the list that they need us to do. Once we have completed the item we check it as completed and the client will automatically be notified that the item has been marked as completed. No emails, no urgent calls, no documents, just a simple list.

The hide and display completed items feature allows checked items to be hidden but they can be conveniently accessed by showing them again and previously captured items can be re used by simply unchecking them.

Features:
- Create multiple lists
- Share lists with others, no accounts, no sign-up
- Push notifications for activity on shared lists
- Tags to organise lists
- Powerful search
- Priority category
- Hide / display completed items

If you are someone who likes reminders, priorities, categories, responsible parties, different colors, signing up to web services etc. then this app is not for you.

If on the other hand you want to easily keep track of things by just jotting down a couple of bullets but don't want to sift through emails and document to keep track of things then this app is for you.

Can't judge by free option

With this free version you can only create 3 lists. That's fine, I don't mind "free" versions to allow one to investigate an App's quality/design/usefulness first. I tried sharing - sent to google email. Person had app on phone but could NOT get the .ydlist to open. Was ok with it being "bare bones" but seems lackluster to me. I don't know if it's because A. Google email somehow intercepting, B. free version limitations or C. it's TOO bare. I could not find the explanation of what is offered through each "In App" purchase. Not going to pay first and find out later. Disappointed.

Great

Not sure why people are confused about deleting lists... You just swipe it like any other app.
I like the simple sharing and the notifications. My wife and I use it to keep a shopping list going.
One possible improvement would be a better way to dismiss the keyboard when done typing an item.
