A free Subnet Calculator for the iPhone and iPad that lets you save your calculated networks. For those learning subnetting it has display options to show complete binary and hex info for calculated subnets. A great aid for those studying for CCNA, Network + and other networking exams.
The Binary Display helps those new to subletting easily visualize where network and host addresses begin.
What is a subnet and why do I need a subnet Calculator?
A subnet (short for "subnetwork") is an identifiable part of an organization's IP network. Often, a subnet may represent all the machines at one geographic location, in one building, or the same virtual local area network (VLAN). Having an organization's network divided into subnets allows it to be connected to the Internet with a single shared network address. Without subnets, an organization could get multiple connections to the Internet, one for each of its physically separate subnetworks, but this would require an unnecessary use of the limited number of network numbers the Internet has to assign.
This Subnet calculator is used by network engineers to calculate subnet masks, number ranges of useable IP addresses, broadcast ip addresses and network numbers.

Costs ads - free otherwise
Smart layout on my iPhone 5S. I would gladly pay a couple of bucks to remove the ads. Great use of sliding /# octets to reveal real time the effects of subnetting with network and host ranges displayed dynamically. Please add pay to remove ads, I like the app itself.
Practical and most useful
For iPhone...this is the most useful subnet tool used. Saves locations and gives you all the information you need in one page.
Great Subnet Calculator
There are a few subnet calculators on the App Store. I like this one the best because of the binary display that can be toggled on and off as well as the ability to save subnets and recall them later.
