REVIEWS

“Ear Beater ear training app, is simple, straight to the point, clean, runs smoothly, provides a systematic/natural progression for ear training, allows customization, and has a whole lot of ear training exercises!”

- Posido Vega, www.eartrainanywhere.com

“I think EarBeater wins big with its sequential, well thought-out approach to ear training. The extensive list of small tasks in each category will give students confidence in their ability to master and build lasting music theory knowledge.”

- Lynda Arnold, www.askaudiomag.com

“Of all the different ear training apps I have reviewed over the years EarBeater's interface wins hands down. Overall a powerful and useful app for any musician in training.”

Another thought

It would be really helpful to be able to hear what an incorrect guess would have sounded like, to be able to compare and contrast. For example, if I chose m7 when Maj7 was correct, being able to hear the m7 AND Maj7 would help me avoid that mistake in the future.

App freezes on launch

I downloaded Earbeater lite for the first time and opened it, and I haven't gotten past the orange-colored startup screen (though I am able to quit it by pressing the home button - it didn't freeze the entire device.) Repeated launches are no different. My configuration: iPod Touch 6, iOS 10.3.3, EarBeater Lite 1.2.0., AirPods. UPDATE: I was able get past the start up screen after turning the iPod off and back on again and re-launching. I will update the one star rating of this review after I've used the app for a while if it deserves it. UPDATE 2: The graphics don't seem to fit on the screen I can't change the exercises. Maybe this is an iPad app and not for use with an iPod touch? Giving up, sorry– Will try another ear training app.

Love the app

I love this app. I use it for school. I have no problems with it at all - no glitches with anything, no sudden resets at all or anything. Works great. If I get an incorrect guess, it shows me what the answer was, then moves on. I like how it shows me my score when I’m done with each lesson, too.
