Love this app

I’ve been looking for an easy to use sudoku app and have found it. Was really glad I got to try an online version for free before getting the app. I like that I can “see how I’m doing” before I run into a snag and catch mistakes early on if I choose to. It seems some of the downsides in the other reviews have either been fixed or were user error. The only thing I’d add is to make it easier to erase my penciled in marks. And maybe add in a notes feature. But really, this is a great app and I don’t have any complaints.

A bit too manual & difficult to maneuver for me

I was a bit miffed at first when I saw there was no way to write notes in the blocks. Then I opened the Options menu and found I could add the question mark button to allow me to do it. If there is another way, I haven't figured it out yet, and trying to find it while the clock is ticking is not what I call fun by any stretch. Also, once I entered a number (not a note) into a block, it didn't automatically delete that number from notes within the 3x3 grid, column, or row. I had to do that manually. Granted, if I made a mistake, it saved me from having to redo all my notes, but it did seem to me to be an overall hassle. I guess the other apps I regularly use have spoiled me.

Challenging puzzles, easy to use, but eats the battery

I like the competitive option because it allows me to see if I'm improving. There are two significant problems, however. The first is that when playing the game the time of day and remaining battery life, which are otherwise omnipresent, are not shown. The second is that it consumes so much energy that even when my iPad is plugged in, the amount of battery life remaining decreases, which indicates that it is consuming a large amount of energy; an app that only responds to user input, and maintains a timer should utilize very little energy and the fact that it uses a lot makes me wonder what it is actually doing.
