Who ever said you can't go back?

BEST GAME

I loved the game! It was great, amazing, and super good. I'm not one hundred percent sure if I've even finished the game yet, but I think I am. It's 2 am and I’ll probably forget to play the rest and write this review so. The game is really inclusive. You're able to choose between two sexes, and you get to choose your pronouns, which I believe go beyond he/him and she/her, but I'm not too sure. You can also somewhat choose your sexuality as your character can pretty much date anyone, I THINK. My only problem with the game is that you have to pay for the episodes, even though they're not expensive. You still do have to pay, which is sad :( It's around 10 dollars for the whole thing. AHH, I wish I COULD say more, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone. I absolutely loved the game! It's based on a late middle setting, which was surprising due to the amount of drama. The game definitely made me tear up. There's this blue-shirt boy who I chose as my character's love interest, and yeah, he almost made me cry. I might just me sensitive, though. Best money I've ever spent, and I'll definitely be crying myself to sleep thinking about it! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND PLAY RAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Don't believe the negative reviews

Other reviews claiming this game is "too political" aren't taking into account the fact that a) this game is aimed at middle and high school-aged players, who need more media that engages with them on their level in an approachable way about current affairs so they can stay informed and involved and b) the creator of the game gave a statement before the mini-episode that automatically starts the game, saying they wanted to create a special mini-episode to help people (youth in particular) deal with a post-election America. That subject matter cannot be apolitical, by definition, and if urging people to care and be involved is preachy, then I don't know what to tell you.

Aside from that, the representation in this game is great. None of the characters feel like a token, and the developers really made a gender- and culturally-inclusive game. Representation matters, and it's important that young people see people like them in our media so they know that they matter.

So download the game. At least get past the protest-themed mini-episode and into the main game before writing it off. Gift it to a young person in your life. We need more inclusivity the game industry, and it's important we support the studios that are seeking to create change.

Recently Finished and in love with story

Where to begin? Well, I pretty much started this on Monday night. Pretty much played non-stop for four days and gotta say, BEST FOUR DAYS EVER! I haven’t experienced many games like this but the story for this was absolutely amazing. What I really want, and many fans probably agree with this, is a season two. I want to explore high school as the main character and I want to see how the friends all stay together. I’d love to see new characters too. I understand that it’s hard to produce games especially considering money, but in honesty this game holds a rather big message that not many people except maybe someone with fresh experience. See I’m currently seventeen. For me, the last day of middle is a couple years ago, but I still visit those experiences. Now I wasn’t as nosy but I did look into stuff otherwise ignored. Anyways....getting off what is a crazy explanation and just going to cut this into simplicity, beautiful game, love the art, the stories, the responses, a season would be good but just take your time. Heck, let us know if you need support. But we’ll be here. You the developers have our (the players) support. And I just want to say thank you for making this game.
