Crashes if you share. No option to share via text.

If I share an article, the app freezes and I can’t navigate back or get out of the share dialog.

No option to copy to clipboard or share via text/iMessage.

Impossible to avoid clicking ads

The placement of ads between the story and all the comments makes it impossible to scroll down to see all the comments without inadvertently clicking an ad and being redirected. It is so insidious that I suspect the app and web site are conspiring to inflate pay-per-click revenue. The latest version of the app seems much worse than before. Otherwise it is a great app but this makes it unusable. So it gets just 1 star.

Zero social usability

No dark theme

Sharing is a BIN file containing an HTML page - unusable by anything.

Open original slashdot page offers to share to FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, or defunct Google+. No option to copy link. Only logs in via embedded web. No reaching out to other apps for share.

Last update was many years ago.

/. used to be the IT site. Remember when sites would get slashdotted? No more.

The app has no practical ability to interact with comments. You can follow the link to the embedded browser for the article, then reply, then log in via embedded browser.

This has no focus on usability, and seems as old as Slashdot itself.
