Love the New App!

The new app is definitely going to take some getting used to, as some of the features have moved around and there are a few new features as well, but over all, I really love the new app! The organization is great and I love that I get the chance to review every transfer or payment before I make it! The last thing I want to do is accidentally add an extra zero or switch a couple numbers around. It really gives me peace of mind to be able to double check that I entered everything in correctly before confirming the transaction. I also really like how easy it is to see everything for my credit card: balance, rewards points, etc. We use our card quite a bit for rewards, so it’s great that we can see the details for the card pretty much at a glance!

Third party Pc Banking

I had problems with fraud on my account . Consumers advised to shut down the account I have had for over ten years. I wasn’t advised that everything coming in is going to bounce. I was issued 3-4 new debt card, emergency account because the fraud dept kept shutting down my debt card. My credit rating went down 21 points because this went on for about three months. The charges kept coming back closed account or refused. The fraud dept keep shutting down my card and the third party was bouncing my bills when there was money in account. No one could tell me what was happening. Finally I noticed on my online banking that the old account was still active though that service which is though a third party. Both that service and Consumers told me they couldn’t remove it. Finally after numerous charges for a closed account fees, 21 points off my credit rating and all stress it caused for 3 months. Consumers were finally the ones that had the authority to take that account off the PC banking. This was part of the problem Consumers does not have anything to do with the online banking (bills) it’s a third party. They don’t communicate at all with each other. But it seems someone could figured out what I did that it was going to account 7000 not 7504.

Got Rid of Great Features, UX much poorer

When we switched from a big bank to CCU their app was one of the highlights of the switch. The widget that allowed me to view my balance without opening the app was one of my and my husband's favorite features. The app was also easy to navigate and had not too many features clogging it up. Unfortunately, the update has removed many of those highlights. The widget had been removed, the login is often buggy and seems to go down a lot more than it used to. Transferring money between accounts has a lot more steps and is more confusing than it used to be. My biggest annoyance is how the accounts will switch places on the main screen based on which one has the lowest balance, it would be so much easier to see what is what at a glance if they stayed in one place.

I'm giving this three stars and not lower because I believe CCU cares about its members and I hope they will take this review under advisement and review with their development team.
