Influenster: Reviews & Deals 4+

I don’t really write reviews, but I felt I needed to after receiving my third beauty Voxbox :). Seriously, this app is awesome. I love the idea; it’s really quite a genius way to get users interested in brands and review products. I’ve been a part of both campaigns and Voxboxes and have loved being able to get cash back and free beauty products in exchange for my honest reviews. I love using the app to research the products I want to buy as well. It is important to mention that some users who receive free stuff tend to review higher than the product is actually deserving of, which isn’t the app’s fault, but it’s good to watch out for when reading reviews.
There are quite a few complaints online about people being on the app for years and never getting a Voxbox. There seems to be a specific type of user they target when sending out products, and I am one of the lucky ones they like. This app is definitely not a scam; I can testify to that (I’ve received over $100 in free stuff so far). It can be kind of hard for some people to get chosen though, no matter how much you review. This app is worth a download to try your luck! And you can always look up tips to get better chances to be chosen for a Voxbox. Writing long reviews and uploading pictures is always helpful :)

I’ve had the app for over a year now and in the past few months it just seems to have given out. I personally didn’t realize there was an updated BETA app until a few weeks ago and since I updated the app it’s just been completely out of whack. It doesn’t let me post, ask questions, create polls, review anything without scanning a barcode or finding it in the listed products they have (literally half of most reviews aren’t listed on Influenster & it’s stopped me from posting!)
I used to have high engagement, recurring campaigns and obviously enjoyed it. I can’t really say the same anymore, they used to be super responsive and had great customer service but now they ignore most requests and apparently don’t fix the pointed out bugs/issues when they update it anymore. I’m disappointed at the fact that I can no longer participate in surveys (that literally stand in the way of receiving voxboxes) and my campaigns have been disappearing as well as the last few I’ve been approved for haven’t actually been shipped to me. The last time they responded to a CS request was one of the boxes I reported missing and they said they can’t offer tracking or be held accountable for missing packages. If you’ve had the app for a while now you know they attempted to provide tracking info. and usually it didn’t come through or was incorrect, now they don’t offer it at all on IOS. I don’t understand why they downgraded the app? But okay.

Update 3/23 •Badges are gone Sad. I liked earning badges as well as others. •Instant grabs show up to claim randomly mixed in with your other voxboxes & grabs. It would be nice to have them pop up at the top of your list so you can catch them & claim them. Right now how it is, they are easy to miss. •Notifications when pressed do not take you to the instant grab anymore. They just take you to the home page. Then you have to scroll through your campaigns to see what’s new & it’s always mixed in there. Kind of silly. It should be at the top•Tasks being grayed out/unable to start. Why? Seems they don’t open the tasks up until the brand notifies Influenster they have shipped the items. Problem is, a lot of the brands aren’t doing this so the tasks sit grayed out, unable to be completed until you reach out to customer service. Seems like a lot of extra work for CS to have to manually go in & start each persons tasks. •Instant grabs need a better description. I don’t want to write a review & make social posts for sample sized items. Some grabs are being shown as full size then samples are sent. It shouldn’t be offered if we have no samples selected in our profile.
