Description

Learn and enjoy Logic Puzzles with 100 unique puzzles of increasing difficulty and multiple sizes. Decode written clues & fill in the grid to solve each puzzle. Work your way up from from beginner to master! Use the unlimited Smart Hints to see exactly which clue applies to the current board and why. Start with small 3×4 puzzles and challenge yourself with huge 4×7 cell puzzles.

Smart Hints examine your solution so far and explain how to fill in another cell by referencing your current board position and telling you what clue to use next (internet access required).

Other features include Auto-X for faster entry and multi-level Undo. These make it easier and quicker to focus on the logic! If you're completely stuck, you have the ability to check the grid for errors.

There are never any ads or nags or gimmicks. The app supports iOS iCloud sync and accessibility features, including VoiceOver, Larger Text and Dark Mode.

If you run out of puzzles there are multiple "100 packs" of new puzzles available for purchase. These are in the same size & quantity as the original free puzzles: 30 each of 3×4 & 30 3×5, and 10 each of 4×4, 4×5, 4×6 & 4×7.

Alternatively, you can purchase an Unlimited Puzzles monthly subscription for $4.99 USD per month (or similar for your country).

Subscription payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal at the same price as the initial month within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user’s Account Settings after purchase or using the “Manage Subscriptions” link. There is no free trial.

Best logic puzzle game!

I love logic puzzles and I’ve tried all of the ones currently available in the App Store. This one is by far the best! It has a simple, non distracting interface; I like that the clues are displayed all at once in a list form (in some logic puzzle apps, the clues appear one at a time and that’s sluggish and annoying). It’s easy to cross off the clues you already solved. The puzzle grid is on a separate “page” but is easily accessible with a swipe up or swipe down. I’m still on the free version of this app and there are still many left to do at all different levels. The levels are challenging and fun. Once my free puzzles are solved, I’m going to subscribe to access more.

In short, if you love logic puzzles that are fun and challenging, and you like an attractive, intuitive, non distracting interface, you should down load this app. I’ve tried them all and I highly recommend this one to be your main logic puzzle app. It is truly the best one in the store!

One and done

Mostly great puzzles. A few duds because there is no way to solve other than guess and carry out different scenarios. But those are only a few. My biggest disappointment is that once they’re solved, you cannot “save” the puzzle and work it again. You can’t even LOOK at your solved puzzles. Only choice in the “solved puzzles” link is to select them and discard the ones you selected. I suppose that appeases some players ego that want to delete the ones they got hints on so as to have a “perfect” record. For those of us who don’t really care about the stats, just enjoy solving logic puzzles, it’s pointless. I always thought I would be able to replay puzzles I PAID FOR. But instead, I have paid for packages that had puzzles I already solved included. I get it. They want the gravy train to keep sucking money out of my wallet. But they would get that with NEW puzzles anyway. I’m just a bit soured by the fact they take away my opportunity to solve puzzles I paid for more than once.

Having said that, it would be nice if there were packages with just expert/challenging level puzzles. Hard core logic problem solvers bore easily with having to purchase bulk easy puzzles (like 60-80 of them) to the 20-40 challenging ones.

Thanks! Some great comments there. Some explanations: If we wanted a "gravy train" then we wouldn't let people clear puzzles and play them again at all. Clearing a puzzle doesn't just clear the stats for the badges (note, use Zen mode to hide those), but it also puts them back into the queue to play again (and again, and again). This applies to puzzles you've paid for as well. So you CAN play puzzles over and over, without paying more. No gravy train here. Should you be able to see completed puzzles just to look at them again? Maybe. We've argued about this internally many times. Indeed, our Acrostics app *does* allow this. Hmm... pros and cons. Now, re package pricing. We used to break out puzzle sizes & difficulties and charge $2.99 per bundle of similar size (~60 easy or ~30 hard per bundle). To keep things simple, we just combined them - but kept the price the same. I.e. dealers choice. Play just the hard, or just the easy, or ... maybe both (easy on a phone and hard on a tablet perhaps). No extra charge for both. Last but most importantly, you should never (ever ever) have to guess. If you think you need to, get a Smart Hint, and it will examine the board, look at the clues and tell you what the next logical step is. If the hint doesn't make sense, check out the "How to Solve a Logic Puzzles" linked from the Guide. Or, email support@eggheadgames.com with a screenshot and we'll take a look. We OBSESS about accuracy! I'm glad that even with these concerns it was "mostly great puzzles"! Thanks for the thoughtful review and happy puzzling with your next choice! (Perhaps the HARD Penny Dell logic puzzles, but they are a different level entirely…). Cheers, Michael @ Egghead Games (and definitely not riding a gravy train sucking money out of your wallet ;), see my philosophy about apps and "value is a conscious choice" on our website at www.eggheadgames.com ).

I like but…..

I really like this app for a couple reasons. It has 7x7 grids which are hard to find within the logic puzzling community. I also enjoy the challenging level and the graphics. This being said, there are a couple user interface issues that ruin it for me. For one, when you select a correct answer, the other boxes in that row and column are automatically changed to wrong. This would be a useful feature, except when undoing the correct answer, the now “wrong” boxes do not automatically turn blank. This can be frustrating because I now have to go back and undo each one, causing more now “wrong” answers, and because I also now don’t know which X’s I put there previously. In addition, I wish there was a zoom feature, as it’s hard to click smaller boxes and mistaken clicks can easily mess up your game. All in all, I enjoyed playing this game and I think it was manufactured very thoughtfully. The puzzles were very intriguing and I think with just a couple improvements, this game could really beat out all others on the market!

Developer Response ,

Good news, there are solutions to both of these thoughtfully raised issues. Zoom is already there. Just pinch-expand in the grid, just as you would a photo, and it will grow and shrink. It can be helpful to tap on a label on each axis first to highlight the area you wish to zoom. If you mark a box as correct and it auto-fills in the incorrect cells too, but then you change your mind, tap undo twice. Undo will go back many many turns and includes the auto-fill items. That said, perhaps you want to undo an auto-fill after many other changes that you want to keep. Hmm, I’ll have to ponder that one 🤔. Thanks for the detailed feedback.
