"Fish Planet" - the most complete guide for fishermen.
This encyclopedia presents 550 major species of fish - freshwater (Europe, Asia, North America - pike, perch, carp, zander, bass and etc.) - and marine (salmon, tune, eel, plaice and etc.).
Description of each fish contains - original colour illustrations, scientific name in Latin, names on different languages (up to 28), biological information, places of inhabiting, places for fishing, best time for fishing and even angling methods. This handbook can assist you with species identification.
This application DOES NOT require internet access, so you can use it on your boat even when service is not available. All the information is contained within the application.
This application is connected with mp-fish.com service and other "MP Fish Planet" applications, where you can find additional information for selected fishes:
- different photos of fishes your are interested (mp-fish.com)
- discovery catches of other fishermen around the world, includes fishing location and angling methods (mp-fish.com)
- obtain long-term fishing forecast (MP Fishing Calendar)

Not American user friendly.
Overall, seems helpful. Most fish in the database require an add-on. I wouldn’t mind the add-ons so much, except, I’m American and trying to decrypt the British English is a bit clunky. Also, there are no settings for units of measurements and all my local fishing regulations are in imperial. The requires me to convert the units to make sense out of anything.
I recommend adding the following selections:

Imperial
Once those are added, I think this app would be very useful.
Can’t restore purchases.
I have personally had no issues with the app itself, however, I can’t restore my purchases. I bought the bundle for all packs and no ads on my iPad thinking my purchases would transfer, but nothing happens when I press the button to restore purchases. What’s up with that? Great app otherwise though.
Good but can be better
I would hope that adding a way to favorite fish, then having someone proofread for English would be a good thing to do. It would be cool to keep track of fish I have caught within the app.
