Come on Salonbiz, you can do better

This app is pretty basic. I was excited when my app was last updating..hoping that all the things I wish the app was would come true. Not so much. Just a restructured version of all the same things. It would be great to actually edit an appointment instead of having to cancel and rebook..... would be great to customize and edit application, process and finish times... having the option to see my entire staff on one screen would make my thumbs hurt much less... one HUGE issue our staff has is not being able to set the guest up for mobile confirmations on the app instead of remembering to go into the desktop version and check that box. These are all features that are offered by your competitors!

Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to share your ideas. They are good ones, and most are already on our radar. We'll document the others for review in a future version. You're right, we can do much better, and are always improving our products. Thanks for your feedback!

Worst consistence EVER

For the love of God FIX the update notifications that appears every time I open the app. I have to waste time dealing with it. In all my years of having this app the issues it has had are absurd. Maybe you need to hirer better developers. Cause someone is getting paid for a job they do extremely poorly. Also, freaking do a survey of stylist, massage therapist, and estheticians to find out what this app really needs to incorporate. It blows my mind the things that go over looked. It would take 10 people that actively work(low dogs on the totem pole) could give you invaluable insight on what the app is lacking. But then again y’all need to start at the basics of just hiring a team to develop a system that isn’t constantly crashing and having issues. I can’t believe companies keep paying for something that is so flawed. If I was an owner I would regularly want a discount for a service that fails so often. Get it together and do better!

Developer Response ,

Hi there,
I want to start by apologizing for the mistake in the version name that resulted in the App Store prompting you to update an updated app. That has been corrected in an update available now. Please know that our Development Team are some of the best in the business and care very much about providing software that meets the needs of those who use it. We have done surveys in the past, and definitely plan to do more to get the invaluable feedback around needed features that we should implement. You can always use this platform also to let us know your biggest wish list items. We read every comment, every email every time and we hear your feedback, and take it to heart.
If your app does crash regularly, we want to definitely figure out why. We take pride in our work and our products. Please contact us at 888-809-2802 or support@salonbiz.com to let us know what’s going on.
Thank you again for your feedback; it’s always appreciated.

Decent app; Would be so much better with more notifications

This app works okay, but I have a few suggestions for the developers:

1. Add an option for more notifications pertaining to any change in my books (i.e. new appointments, appointment cancellations, etc). I’ve had many days where I wake up, check my app, see that “John” has an appointment for 11AM, but then get to work and am notified by our receptionist that John called and cancelled his appointment, so I ended up driving there for nothing. It would be great if SalonBiz had notified me when John canceled.

2. Allow a setting where you can see your entire schedule for the day. Even when viewing the schedule in the most compressed view, you can still only see 2.5 hours on your screen at a time. Our salon doesn’t open until 10, so I always have to scroll a lot to see my day. This has resulted in many communication errors in the salon because it’s not a very “easy” view.

3. Allow stylist to edit the services they offer, including a service itself, the estimated time it takes, and pricing. We have over 20 stylists in our salon and this would make the salon owner/receptionist/stylist’s job much easier.
