Almost There

The one feature I feel this app is lacking is individual indicator volume levels for each ear. The current slide volume indicator is one slide bar for both hearing aid. The problem for me is if I don’t hear the low battery tone and the device shuts off, I have no visual help to figure out what has gone wrong with my hear. If u have never had hearing aids u might think it’s a no brainer “Duh” it’s the ear u can’t hear out of. Turns out when a device is in control of the dynamics of your hearing it’s not so easy to figure out why you can’t hear so well. Now let’s add life still coming at you, such as someone talking to u in a noisy environment and u need to respond. Let’s say your at work and your responsibilities can’t wait for u to fumble around with your hearing aid while you’re trying to figure out what’s wrong with my hearing. A quick look at my app could tell me which one of my devices r off line. The app for my first pair of HA’s had individual level indicators that visually showed me one of me devices were no longer connected. This was a huge help. This narrowed down the problem real quick.
Bottom line for me is if this app had individual level indicators. It would be a 5 star review for me.

Suggestion for improvement

I like the app except:
1. I completely agree with a previous comment regarding individual volume control and connection status. Individual control of modes would also be handy. Utilizing the phone mode in only the ear that I use for the office phone would be excellent.
2. I would also REALLY love to see Apple Watch integration so that I could adjust volume and modes utilizing my watch.

Having the app is a huge benefit to me, but these two issues for me would bring an otherwise good app up to five stars.

Getting use to THAT THING in my left ear!

OK, I realize I am not a comic, but sometimes it helps. I love the app on my iPhone, it sure saves me a lot of fumbles getting the noise level. I agree with the person that wanted numerical indicators on the one this app has BUT, there is one more thing that can be done, an ear monitor that automatically sets the noise for each ear, with the best thing since these wonderful product have been produced. As they get better, they get smaller. Well, why can’t you produce one that can be “in the ear”! It could still be monitored on the app, but I am sure there are thousands that would choose an internal hearing aid. I realize I am writing a book, it seems, but it would be one of the best innovations of this next kind. Kudos to all of you that work in this area.
