MidFirst Bank Business Mobile 4+

Used to have Face ID for this app, then I updated my phone to iPhone14 Pro. Now Face ID is not even an option for biometric access…Touch ID is the only option. That’s not even something the iPhone 14 Pro is set up to do. What is going on with this app?

Although I have had a very pleasant experience banking with MidFirst, their app is by far one of the most lackluster things I have ever seen. Even smaller banks I have been a part of have better functionality. I see now that the regular app has FaceId, but as a customer with personal and business accounts, I appear to be stuck with the business version. As prior users have stated, it is not much better online. Your password is always constantly needing to be changed so that you have to try and keep track of it in your head (again, FaceId would cure this) I hate to even think it because I do like the bank, but since I do not use my business accounts for small business loans etc, I may just have to move back to a bank with better ease of access over small business options that I do not use.

I’ve been struggling with this app for almost two years. I uninstall and reinstall, and it works again for awhile; kind of limping along, requiring unnecessary keystrokes and steps to work through its glitches, before it has “network” issues and won’t work at all. I have the latest in Apple devices I might note here, so it is not on my device end. I also have consulted customer service, and what we have here is the best functioning level the app has.

I’m just surprised that with everything Midfirst seems to be aware of to make their products customer friendly, that they don’t fix the technical issues of this app.

To be voted the best bank so many years in a row… this app is a very poor representation and it makes the customer think “hmmmm, wonder what else is glitching within their system??” and thus recalling when there was the hack into their software a few months back!

I’m writing this in the hopes that Midfirst will invest in the time and $$ to fundamentally fix this app; which most customers use every day!
