LAA56 ,

Like it a lot so far!

So far so good! I love having the patterns and the fabric in the same app, as I’ve been using one that does only the fabric and that doesn’t sync with the cloud AND doesn’t work on the iPad! So this is great. One question - I spent a lot of time loading patterns yesterday. They weren’t there today! I think the glitch is that unless you put a purchase date, the app doesn’t register the pattern in the system even after hitting save. Take a look at that feature - I might be wrong but I couldn’t think of anything else, and that’s what they all (the missing ones) had in common. Thanks!

Developer Response ,

Hi.
Glad you are enjoying the app.
If you don’t put a purchased date then the app assumes you have not bought it. It is thus classed as a “Wishlist” rather than an “Owned” item. In order for the item to appear in the list the “Wishlist” button must be selected.

Even better.

This might be my favorite app of anything on my 3 iPads or iPhone. I’ve used several database and inventory app trying to corral my fabric but this is hands down everything I want. Unlike Cora this app works on all my mobile devices upstairs downstairs or at my kitchen or in store. Spouse is moving his extensive inventory of reproduction and antique vintage fabrics into this. Tags extend the usefulness from seasonal sewing, garment vs quilting vs home dec. The project and idea feature lets me quickly assess if I’m using materials purposely purchased for another project and weigh options, including whether I have enough and where to get more. (I put fabric sku in description) I haven’t spent much time tracking notions, but just wow. Love love it!

A Few Glitches but a Great App

I get the feeling this app is very new. So I’ll not let a few minor glitches annoy me (a few “cancel’ buttons don’t work (working now in full version), ‘library’ misspelled). Overall it organizes my sewing exactly how I wish it to be organized.

It was a little difficult to set up but really not bad and it has many customizations.

I think the only thing I would change (or will ignore) is that type and composition of fabric are a bit confusing. Oh and I do wish, when I paid for the full version that what I’d set up had transferred over.

Price is right on and I look forward to getting my sewing organized. Very happy & well done!

Developer is extremely responsive & sent me some tips on usage regarding fabric composition and they were great ideas courtesy of his advisor/wife. Loving it.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for taking the time for feedback. You are right. the app is very new!
"Library/Libary" typo will be fixed in next version due out soon (apologies for the irritation - I can't believe I missed it!).

The Cancel button problem seems to be an IOS issue which appears to occur on changes in orientation. Not found any fix to date and hoping IOS updates may address it.

My wife (and advisor on all things sewist!) wanted to differentiate between various compositions of similar fabric types. Say polyester/cotton, but in varying % for example. So rather than having 10 different Polyester/cotton types, she can have one type but with various compositions. Hence the composition field. It's optional, so can simply be ignored if not wanted.

I've just tested the data transfer for upgrade from Lite to Full again now. It appears to work OK here. But it can take quite a few minutes (sometimes 15+) for iCloud to transfer the data across.
